Priced on questions, not on seats

Every plan runs all six engines and keeps every answer. Exactly one thing changes between them: how many questions you track. Brands, competitors, teammates and alerts are the same on the cheapest plan as the dearest.

Yearly is ten months' price. Two months free.

One question is about 32 answers a week, across all six engines.

On every plan, not just the big one

Most of this category holds engines and seats back for a higher tier. We do not, and the page should say so plainly.

  • All six engines, tracked continuously. None held back for a higher tier.
  • Full answer text and every citation, kept and searchable.
  • Up to 5 brands.
  • Up to 25 competitors tracked.
  • Up to 25 teammates.
  • Email alerts on six kinds of change, with the noise suppressed.
  • Any of 212 markets and 128 languages, changeable whenever you like.

The plans differ by two things only: how many questions you track, and how many brands you spread them across. The measurement never gets better on a bigger plan. The rules behind every figure are in the methodology, and the engines are listed on platforms.

Why a question is the unit

It is the only thing that costs us money, so it is the only thing we charge for.

One question is 6 answers a day, one from each engine, which is about 180 a month. Everything else on the invoice would be a markup on something that costs us nothing, which is why seats, competitors, alerts and any of 212 markets are included rather than priced.

Ten questions is the floor, and that is a measurement decision rather than a packaging one. Below ten, a single engine's share of voice carries a confidence interval wider than the change we would email you about, so a "move" could be noise. We would rather not sell a number we cannot stand behind.

How we compare

Per question, per engine, per month — the only unit that compares across a category that slices volume differently in every price list.

Our plans work out between 75 cents and 54 cents on that basis. The median across 18 tiers from eight vendors, measured in September 2026, is 48 cents. So we are deliberately mid-market on price and ahead on coverage: at $9 we match the volume of the nearest comparable tool and include an engine it charges extra to add, and at $49 we run six engines where most of the field runs three.

We are not trying to be the cheapest. Being the cheapest in this category usually means fewer engines, a thinner schedule, or a number with no denominator attached to it.

Pricing questions

Do I need a card to start the trial?
Yes. The trial is 7 days and needs a card, and nothing is charged for those 7 days. Cancel any time before the end and you pay nothing. We put that on the button rather than in the small print, because finding it out inside a payment form is a bad way to meet it.
Why is pricing based on questions rather than seats?
Because a question is the only thing that costs us anything. One question is six answers a day, one from each engine, which is about 180 a month. Charging for seats would bill you for people looking at a number rather than for producing it, which is why teammates are included on every plan.
Is two questions really enough to learn anything?
For two questions, yes — that is 256 answers a month, which is plenty of signal on those two. What it will not give you is a picture of a whole category, because buyers ask the same thing a dozen ways and you are watching two of them. Solo is for the two questions you most need an answer on. If you want to know how a category behaves rather than two queries, start at Starter.
What is the difference between the plans?
One thing: how many questions you track. Nothing else changes. Every plan runs all six engines, stores full answer text and citations, and carries 5 brands, 25 competitors and 25 teammates. Most of this category gates engines by tier — Otterly's $29 plan carries four and charges $9 a month each for Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode. The measurement does not get better on a bigger plan.
Which market do you measure?
Any of 212 countries, in any of 128 languages. You pick during onboarding and can change it in settings, and every question is then asked from there. A workspace measures one market at a time, deliberately: AI answers vary by location, and blending two countries into one figure describes neither. A second market means a second brand, and every plan carries five.
What if I need more than 15 questions?
Email us and we will work it out. We would rather have that conversation than put an invented number on a page, and there is no enterprise tier hiding behind a form.
Can I change plan or cancel?
Both, from inside the product, at any time. If you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, your data stays readable, and you can export all of it whenever you like.
